Just last week the Maryland Benefits Counseling Network posted information about the Achieving Better Life Experience or ABLE program – what it is, how it can help eligible individuals save money without impacting Medicaid and/or SSI benefits, and how to participate and open an ABLE account. At the time, Maryland had not yet rolled out it’s ABLE program (though Marylanders could open ABLE accounts in other states). That will very soon change as Maryland has announced that it’s ABLE program will launch November 28, 2017!!!
Yes, starting November 28th eligible Marylanders will be able to enroll in the Maryland ABLE program, open a Maryland ABLE account, and start taking advantage of its benefits! A series of launch party informational sessions have been scheduled around the state to provide materials, answer questions, and support individuals through the enrollment process.
The launch party will kickoff with a webinar-based informational session which is scheduled for December 5th.
