The Social Security Administration’s Red Book is now available for 2017!The Red Book (SSA Publication No. 64-030) serves as a general guide to Social Security work incentives and employment supports of Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefit programs. It is updated annually to reflect important changes in things like earnings thresholds and work incentive benchmark amounts. The Red Book contains a general description of SSA’s disability-related policies and work incentives, however, for information specific to your situation you should contact a Benefits Counselor.

English and Spanish versions of the 2017 Red Book can be downloaded from SSA’s website at https://www.ssa.gov/redbook/. You can also visit your local SSA office to request a printed copy. Requests for alternative media formats of this and other SSA publications including Braille, audiocassette tape, compact disk (CD), or enlarged print form can be made online, by mail, or by phone/fax.
