This training is designed for professional staff who provide transition age services and supports to youth and their families.

 

How Can This Training Be Helpful for Me?

This training workshop will discuss some key points for individuals who provide services and supports to transition age youth and their families including;

  • Navigating Social Security disability benefits as source of financial support;
  • Understanding health coverage options;
  • Discussing the possibility of employment and different work incentives that foster independence; and
  • Accessing supported employment services to promote employment success.

Please note, lunch will not be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring a bag lunch or eat locally during the provided lunch break.
