The IRS have issued the second wave of stimulus checks,  officially known as Economic Impact Payments (EIP), and are in the process of delivering a third in the amount of up to $1,400 to eligible individuals and families. If you feel you’ve missed out or didn’t receive the full $600 of the second EIP you should look to see if you qualify for the Rebate Recovery Credit.

In order to get that rebate, the IRS is asking you file taxes for 2020 even if you aren’t normally required to file taxes at all. This would be the case for a lot of SSI recipients around the country.

While the prospect of filing taxes is daunting you can do so for free by going here: https://www.irs.gov/filing/free-file-do-your-federal-taxes-for-free
