A recent press release by the Social Security Administration announced the creation of a new webpage dubbed “People Helping Others” that will serve as the hub for all manner of questions regarding SSA and SSI benefits. The page is primarily addressed to those in the community who are trying to help potential and current beneficiaries to deal with the myriad requirements and procedures of the SSA.
While there is a danger of disappearing down the proverbial rabbit hole if one were simply to browse its contents it does provide good basic information to anyone unfamiliar with the SSA and its workings, and should prove invaluable to anyone not yet connected with a benefits counselor or for someone who would rather strike out alone.
