Social Security have announced the date and topic of their next National Disability Forum. The focus will be “Aspects of Childhood Disability and Childhood SSI” and is set for 1pm on April 19. In keeping with the times it’s going to be a virtual meeting held over Microsoft Teams.
There isn’t the opportunity to be an active participant, but it is a chance to hear from a number of health professionals and social workers amongst other advocates who’ll be discussing the barriers to gaining Childhood SSI, and how to overcome them. They’ll address how to provide non-medical and medical evidence that may make it easier for SSA to make a true determination of the nature of your child’s disability.
