Having had to wait until nearly halfway through 2018 for last year’s figures, this year Social Security has been able to publish their threshold amounts for the 1619b provision with a certain degree of punctuality.

Although there’s no guarantee that the threshold will increase annually, in Maryland this year there has been a small rise in the limit and it now stands at $40,869.
