October 6, 2020 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
Many Social Security benefit recipients who incurred a COVID-related overpayment of their SSDI and/or SSI benefits may be eligible for a semi-automatic waiver of the overpayment if they meet eligibility criteria and take the right actions! – Understand special considerations for working Title II recipients who experienced an overpayment as a result of COVID-related hazard pay,
– Learn how to request a Recovery of Overpayment Waiver under both the COVID-related streamlined processes and standard waiver request processes, and
– Obtain electronic resources for further research and comment as well as usable resources for requesting waiver either in writing or by phone.
